I'm not afraid to admit it, I am almost 30 years old and I have a BLANKIE.
Like me, Blankie is 30 years old...we have bearly been separated since first being brought togther :).
A year ago I discovered that my mother still had some of the ruffle she used to make him in her sewing box, since then, I have been on the seach for the same orange and white check fabric, I was hoping to make a sort-of reproduction/Blankie/pillow cover, 30 year old cotton that has been loved and washed doesn't hold up too well...and now he's about 1/8 the size he used to be. So a few months back I found the '70s orange and white check fabric at Osgoods (its probably been there since the '70's), this weekend I finally made him a proper coverlet...

He is about 9" X 7", an almost exact replication, I even layered and quilted it like my mother had,
I folded over the back to sort of make a pocket so he fits comfotably inside...

Now, I hope this helps him last another 30 or so years! :)
(Yea, I know, I have issues...hehehe)
